Benzoyl peroxide is typically used in concentrations ranging from 2.5% to 10%. Some recommend starting with a 2.5% concentration and applying it twice a day, waiting a few weeks, and then moving to a 5% concentration if you don’t see results.

 Others say that 5% and 10% concentrations are not more effective than 2.5%, and that 2.5% is usually better tolerated.
