Description: Camellia sinensis is a shrub of the evergreen variety. It grows best in cooler environments with wet soil and can grow to 6m (20 feet) tall and 4.5m (15 feet) wide. The fresh seeds are collected in mid to late fall when the seed capsules are ripe. The ripe seeds can then be pressed to yield Green Tea Seed Oil that has a long history of use in medicine, cooking, and cosmetics.
Its rich contents of Antioxidants, Vitamins A and E, and Essential Fatty Acids are known to help lighten the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, soothe acne-prone skin, and protect the skin against environmental elements. Damaged hair and dry scalp can also benefit from the excellent conditioning properties of Green Tea Seed Oil.
Color: A colorless to yellow clear liquid.
Aromatic Description: Little to no aroma, characteristic of most carrier oils.
Common Uses: Green Tea Seed Oil can be used in formulating a variety of skin and hair care products such as soaps, creams, lotions, serums, toners, shampoos, and massage oils.
Consistency: Light to medium viscosity, characteristic of carrier oils.
Absorption: Absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving a slightly oily feeling.
Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of up to 1 year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended. Please refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the current Best Before Date.
